Home    1    The culprit of the bearing noise is originally it

The vibration and noise of the bearing is one of the important factors to measure the quality of the bearing. The vibration noise of the bearing can directly affect the performance of the host machine. If the noise is large to a certain extent, it may also cause noise fatigue to the operator.

The mechanism of bearing noise

Generally speaking, the rolling bearing itself does not generate noise. The cause of bearing noise is caused by vibration and collision of the bearings during operation. The ratio of elastic vibration and strong vibration of bearing parts is solid sound, and the air vibration caused by solid sound in the frequency range is the noise of the bearing.

Types of bearing noise

The vibration of rolling bearings is the source of bearing noise. Different types of bearing noise have different causes. The causes of noise are also very complicated, which may be caused by the ripples and roughness of the bearing. According to the characteristics of bearing noise, the bearing noise can be divided into the following forms:

Noise caused by friction and lubrication: The influence of friction and lubrication on rolling bearings is great. In general, the better the lubricity, the lower the friction coefficient, so the noise generated by the bearing will be smaller.

Noise caused by working conditions: The speed of the bearing and the load are proportional to the size of the noise. Generally speaking, the high speed and the large load, the noise is also large. In addition, more than half of the noise is caused by poor bearing installation.

Causes of bearing noise

When a radial load is loaded on a bearing, the number of rolling elements carrying the load will also cause a deviation in the load direction during operation. Although the generated vibration is impossible to avoid, it can also be reduced by axial preloading.

Local damage: Improper installation and operation may cause some rolling elements and bearings to be damaged. During operation, damaged bearing components will produce specific vibration frequencies; vibration frequency analysis can identify damaged bearing components. This principle has been applied to condition monitoring equipment to monitor bearing damage.

Accuracy of related parts: When the inner and outer rings of the bearing cooperate with each other, the inner and outer rings of the bearing may deform due to improper cooperation with adjacent components. Once deformation occurs, vibration may occur during operation.

Pollutants: If the equipment is operated in a polluted environment for a long time, the foreign particles in the air will easily enter the bearings and be rolled. The particle size, quantity and composition of impurities are the main factors that determine the vibration.
